A published launch guide reports getting the N’Tormat and a page by completing a Trial and visiting the Wake. It describes a gong in the Bazaar’s pit as an alternative place to begin. Treat this as a reported route; a complete current spawn rule has not been established.
For the Acolyte route, published reports ask you to have the book and at least one page before looking for the Shrine of Descent. This does not establish a guaranteed entrance on the following stage.
After the encounter, inspect the reward area rather than looking for page effects in your ordinary item stack. Check both the Curio and its available page selection before leaving. If the book appears without a page, compare that inventory state with the actual reward choices: no reliable cause or guaranteed reset fix has been established.
N’Tormat pages
Pages give the Curio different actions. Choose a page for its target and purpose; obtaining the book alone does not mean you already have every ability. The demonstrations below are dated official previews.
Dark Alchemy: trade an item’s tier for quantity
Target an item on the ground. The official preview converts a higher-tier item into duplicated lower-tier output. Choose whether you value the original item more than the conversion; this guide does not have a release mapping for every input.
Fanatic Summons: call allied Lynx
This page calls allies rather than transforming an item. The official clip shows multiple Lynx fighting alongside the survivor. The camera’s visible ally count is not a fixed release summon count or duration.
Shadow Cloak: an official concealment preview
The 5 October official short shows a cloaked survivor and recharge beginning at the next stage. Detailed effect text is obscured. Duration, invulnerability and whether attacking breaks the effect are not established by that footage.
Reincarnation: an optional location question
Community reports connect this page to the area after Soulbound Threshold’s encounter. It is not required for the basic rescue.
Read the spoiler-controlled location guide →Using a page
The preview gives the Curio its own slot rather than replacing regular equipment. It begins with an ability described as usable once per stage; additional pages expand the available abilities. Treat these as preview rules until checked against your version.
For a targeted effect such as Dark Alchemy, inspect the target and on-screen prompt before using it. If nothing happens, check the selected page, its available charge and its required target in game. This site does not assume every page shares the same cost.
Pages and Trial progression
Official Trial previews show pages offered as rewards. Completing a Trial can therefore expand the book’s available actions. The reward area also introduces the option to continue into another Trial.
Check the game’s objective and timer before continuing. Preview material describes a shared timer across chained Trials; no automatic countdown on this website can track your run.
Common points of confusion
A page name is not a separate book. Acolyte’s Sacrifice is a survivor skill, while Reincarnation is a player-reported page name connected to a hidden encounter. Do not add either as a basic rescue requirement without evidence.
Missing a page or entrance does not, by itself, establish a game bug. Use the unlock route for the current reported prerequisites and confirm the installed version when comparing reports.
