In the official preview, a gong starts a Trial. Read its objective before committing. Following a completed encounter, the reward area may offer pages and a route into another Trial.
Chained Trials share time in the preview. This is not evidence that all individual Trials start with the same timer. Follow the timer and exit choices actually shown in your game.
Use the gong to commit to an encounter, then read the active objective. At the reward area, stop to review the page choices and the remaining shared time before deciding whether to chain another Trial. Continuing and returning to your main run are different decisions; a page reward does not automatically complete the Acolyte rescue route.

These names and objectives come from official preview coverage. The site does not have confirmed launch timers, reward tables or a tested strategy for every variant.
Choose by the objective you can actually see
Broken Glass · Predation: break enough lanterns. Use the objective to track progress; the preview gives no verified current required count.
Infernal Greed · Predation: build the required fortune before time expires. Read the current target in game; no universal currency amount is established here.
Abyss · Survival: the official instruction is to “feed the fog.” Follow the encounter prompt; that phrase alone does not prove an enemy-count rule or a particular tactic.
Soulbound Threshold · Boss rush: finish enemy and boss waves, then inspect the arena before leaving.

The preview shows successive enemy and boss waves. Separately, the current official “A Broken Ritual” objective requires rescuing the survivor in Soulbound Threshold. After the encounter, inspect the arena for the final rescue interaction before leaving.
The hidden-door encounter referenced by Acolyte: Memento Mori is a different challenge. Its full entry conditions are not established by the basic rescue objective.
